DETAILS for the OSM O’Sullivan’s Marine 100 mile race have been finalised ahead of the West Coast sailing community descent on Westport for the 2014 WIORA championships.
Leaving the Aran Islands on Saturday July 19, the fleet of competitors will head south around the tip of the Islands before heading north to Westport.
The starting line, will be a transit line between the committee boat and a buoy, located approx 300m South East of the southern tip of the new breakwater in Kilronan Harbour.
The time of the Warning Signal will be 17:55hrs on 19th July.
The sequence shall be 5 minutes, 4 minutes, 1 minute and Start.
The course –
Once boats have crossed the start line, the course shall be
Killeaney (Green Channel) Mark to stbd, Finis Rock Cardinal Mark to stbd, High Island to stbd, Kimmeen Rocks (off Inis Shark) to stbd, Inish Turk to stbd, CalliaghCrom Rock (0.4 miles north of Clare Island) to stbd, finish at Inishgort Lighthouse/Dornish Buoy.
